Koda is a very
special colt. He is not only beautiful, but intelligent, calm,
and guaranteed to pass on color to all his foals.
Disposition
Koda has a superb
disposition. He is always sweet and has never been difficult to
teach anything new to. We have done clinic training with him and
he has taken well to tarps, plastic bags, and all sorts of
stuff. There is nothing he does not seem to be able to handle.
Confirmation
Koda has excellent
confirmation. He is very straight in the legs, he has an awesome
hip. Pencil neck, clean throat latch, wonderful shoulder,
beautiful head, deep v chest and excellent whither.
Color
To ad to this great
package Koda is 100% color producer. He will never sire a Sorrel
or Bay no matter what color the mother is. Koda has been tested
by UC Davis and he is E/e A/A, he is a perlino and can sire
buckskins from Sorrel mares, versus a Cremello that could only
produce Palomino's from sorrel mares. Your foal will not have
pink skin or blue eyes unless your mare carries a dilute gene
and then you have a 50% chance of getting a Cremello or Perlino.
But if you have a sorrel or bay mare your foal will only carry
one dilute gene. Below is a table of what color possibilities

Koda has excellent
bloodlines. They include Diamonds Cross who has 28 halter
points, just off his papers are, Ima Cool Skip, Mr. Diamond
Dude, twice Blondys Dude, Conclusive, and twice Impressive. The
next line in his pedigree include: Skippa Star, Jet Straw, Moon
Tag, Small Town Dude, and Windchester. Farther back he goes back
to Skipper W, Leo x9, Three Bars x8, Wimpy x3, Top Moon, King
x3, Traveler, Oklahoma Star x2, Poco Tivio, Poco Bueno, Bill
Cody. the farthest one listed is within 9 generations, most are
within 4-6 generations. He has a variety of skills in his
pedigree, from halter, cutting, to speed. His foals should be
able to compete in a variety of events.
Competition
Koda is just getting
started in the show ring. He has been shown in halter as a
weanling and as a yearling. We plan on continuing his show
career next year. We have high hopes for Koda and his foals. He
is still working on getting fit for next years show season, as
he needs to put on more weight.
